WEEN DREAM event will raise money to give Halloween costumes to kids
A new national nonprofit, WEEN DREAM, will celebrate its debut in New Orleans on August 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Gallery at The Chicory, 611 Fulton St. The party
also is being held to raise awareness about Ween Dream's mission, which is to ensure every child has the opportunity to dress up and participate in Halloween.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door or in advance at the website.
Proceeds from the party will benefit  Ween Dream.
"It's really about giving kids one special day," said Ween Dream president Kelsey Meeks, "because every child deserves to wear a costume on Halloween."
Ween Dream is an all-volunteer nonprofit that gives free Halloween costumes to kids in need.  It was founded in March 2014 by Kelsey Meeks, after two years of running
a local costume donation effort benefiting the kids in Youth Empowerment Project programs.
Ween Dream accepts both new and gently used costumes, which are matched and given to children in need at the beginning of October. wholesale lingerie Wholesale Halloween Costumes Sexy Halloween Costumes Online
